Unleashing the Spirit of Carnival: Animalz Mas Band

Since bursting onto the scene in 2005, Cayman Islands Party Animals Mas has been on a thrilling journey to transform the carnival experience into a vibrant celebration of culture and joy.

 

Founded by passionate visionaries Richard Jackson and John Smith, this grassroots movement emerged from a desire to rescue Carnival from becoming just another business venture.

 

The fun, the flair, and the camaraderie were fading, and it was time for a revolution!

In May 2005, the streets of the Cayman Islands were electrified as a band of SUPER HEROES took center stage—dressed as beloved icons like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and the Incredible Hulk, they danced their way through the festivities, captivating onlookers and reigniting the spirit of celebration. Their mission was clear: save Carnival! This unforgettable debut earned them the coveted "Spirit of Carnival" award, setting the tone for years of exhilarating performances.

As the demand for inclusion grew, the founders responded with the introduction of Party Animals T-shirt Mas in 2006, winning the Best Small Band award and welcoming hundreds of enthusiastic participants into the fold. Over the years, Animalz Mas Band has blossomed into a community of over 1,300 followers, uniting carnival lovers from all walks of life in a shared love for the arts, music, and dance.

Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, which temporarily silenced the joyous celebrations in 2020, the spirit of Animalz Mas never wavered. In 2021, they triumphantly returned to the streets for the CayMas Carnival, and in 2022, they solidified their status as a major player in Batabano, Braccanal, and Caymas Carnival events.

Now, after 21 years of electrifying performances and unforgettable experiences, Party Animals has Launched our sister mas the ZURI Mas and has evolved into the newly rebranded ANIMALZ MAS BAND. This transformation marks a commitment to deliver not just an incredible carnival experience but an all-encompassing entertainment group. Get ready for epic events, thrilling performances, and unforgettable memories that celebrate the true essence of Caribbean culture.
